Hurricane Sandy ravaged the south shore of Long Island, and it took me almost a month to get down there. I was born and partially raised there and going home to photograph what happened was very important to me. What I saw was worse than anything I could have expected. On December 1 I went to Breezy Point, Brooklyn and Long Beach (Long Island), and this is what I saw.
